Madam Capri Louise Carioti is born! (a little picture crazy)

AND She's JUST gorgeous! She looks just like Kenan, complete with dimples (on her cheeks...on her head!) Hahaha (funny family joke, sorry). She had long, dark hair, and her eyes are a steely blue. Her little eyebrows are perfect...they almost look painted on. I am SO happy and love her so much already and she's not even mine!

Kenan did an amazing job! She went in for an induction on Tuesday, January 13th and when she got there, she was already 4 cm dialated. They still gave her the pitocin to help the labor progress. Hudson and I arrived that morning and Roy stayed back to take care of Ansleigh and to work on the new house. Fortunately, I got to take my little guy back there with me (in the sling) until Mom arrived to take over "Hudson duty". She got her epidural and it was smooth sailing after that! The whole family was there and hung out in the waiting room (Paul put it best, it was like Mardi Gras in January...in Richmond...at the hospital--hey, we were celebrating "Caprimas"). Kenan started pushing around 2:55 p.m. and Capri Louise Carioti was born at 3:21 p.m. weighing 7 Lbs. 6 oz. and she was 19.5 inches long. Kenan got the name Capri from a beautiful song by Colbie Calliat titled "Capri". (You can listen to it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bEvY6SyEvM ) Louise was our Great-Grandmother's name (Popoo Wiltshire's Mother).

I felt like the luckiest girl in the world because I got to be there in the room when Capri took her first breath. I've never experienced birth from that perspective and I must say, the emotions are completely overwhelming. I am SO thankful that Kenan asked me to be there with her. I loved every moment of it, and will never forget it, as long as I live. I even got to cut the cord (Paul, you're a sissy). Our Lord is good. She really is beautiful and she looks exactly like Kenan. I always thinks it's funny when people say, Oh that baby looks exactly like their Mother or exactly like their Father....and I think...actually, they look like a baby, and you can't "really" tell who they look like yet because they JUST came out!! But, if there ever was a child that looks JUST like her Momma, it's Capri! Kenan and Paul are doing great, and are SO in love with their precious little girl. All is good in the Wiltshire/Weymouth/Toone/Carioti family! We just added a sweet little girl to our crazy fun gang! xoxoxo I couldn't be happier! **Sorry I'm so late in posting this! Sara and Liz visit

Auntie Sara and Auntie Lizzy came over to visit little Hudson man and Ansleigh today. What a blast...and Oh my, I'm stuffed! They brought me a delicious ruben from Jason's Deli, and I did attempt to "save" half for Roy, but it didn't work, and I just kept eating (I don't think he would have liked the sauerkraut anyways-haha) and then, Liz brought some Ukrops cookies and brownies. Just what I needed! I couldn't stop eating them, and when I wasn't eating them, I couldn't stop thinking about them. They are no joke! Ansleigh had fun of course. Immediately when they got there, she said, "Come play!". They got right to it, and started playing. Hudson loved being held too--plus they do have the "magic touch". They are both naturals when it comes to babies!

The Grecian Princess

HAD to post this picture--isn't she such a little ham bucket?! xoxox I was snapping away and she was "posing"; as quick as I could snap, she would change positions. Where she learned this trait, I have no clue? :o)

Five Generations

That's Hudson's Great-Great Granny Corker, Great-Grandmother (Meme), Grandfather (Big Daddy, aka Bobby), Mom, and Hudson. :o) and of course, no sentimental, family portrait would be complete without Ansleigh screaming crying "LET ME GO!!!"

Check up- 1 month

Big boy Hudson...weighed in at 10 Lbs and is now 21 3/4 inches long. The sole provider is working. That's my man! Hudson, just like Ansleigh, only nurses on one side--Roy jokes and says that one must produce chocolate milk, and the other, sour, butter milk. Is it me?

All his clothes came off, got a thermometer up the high-knee...no tears. Got weighted on the cold scales and pulled and stretched by Mama and the nurse on the measuring table...no tears. Got fully examined--light in the eyes, ears, stethoscope all over the front and back and a measuring tape around the noggin...no tears. A dropper full of tylenol before his shot...swallowed like a champ, no whincing! Hep-B shot...about 8.4 seconds of tears (really, it didn't last long). I was SO proud. When Ansleigh was an infant, we walked into the waiting room at the doctor's office, she started crying (haha). She must have had some sense of what was coming.

He has a little "flattness" to the right side of his head--concerning to me, but nothing to be worried about according to the doctor. She said to just try to get him to turn his head to the other side some and even out the flatness! I don't want a lop-sided son, so I'll take this advice. I never noticed this sooooo, okay! Looked nice and round to me!

We've had a little "spit up" problems accompanied with some labored breathing after feedings. Roy and I talked to our doctor about this and she seems to think it's acid reflux (based on everything we told her and his feeding habits) so she prescribed him some liquid medication to take 2x a day. We started last night and have already noticed a difference in his spit-up AND breathing. We were suprised with the "acid reflux" diagnosis because we have heard that it comes with lots of pain and crying. Hudson rarely cries (almost freakishly doesn't cry enough) so we weren't expecting that, but we're glad for the diagnosis and hope this medicine helps him in the time-being.

My little guy is doing great! He's so cool...pictures to come. Ansleigh continues to say " I love my cute little fellow". She's smitten over him--Mom and Dad are too. <3

Happy Belated Birthday Cody!

We celebrated Cody's belated birthday at Maggianos, a few weeks late, but better than never! You could have rolled me out in a wheel barrel. As many of you know, eating is one of my favorite things to do. The poor little waiter kept having to run get more food (for me, of course!). It was hilarious! He said, "I don't think I've ever eaten as much as you have"...haha. But I must admit, I, personally felt like my family was a bunch of light weights, so if they would have eaten to their full potential, they probably would have paid us to leave because we were costing THEM money (hardy harhar). We had fun, ate a lot, and enjoyed being together! Happy 24th Birthday Cody (aka Toad Man, Toad Face, Mole). Love you brother!

I'm not sure why, but Ansleigh loves lemons...and I love her face when she eats them.

My little Hokies

This is the cute little outfit that Aunt Lynnie and Uncle Eddie gave Hudson for Christmas...starting him young (I also got a sweet new VT Diaper bag so I can proudly represent)! We were so glad the Hokies won too...it made New Year's Day all the more sweet!
