Jealous, anyone?

So, our little guy is now able to sit in his lime green bumbo, which USE to be Ansleigh's lime green bumbo, which for some odd reason, she seems to remember sitting in 2 years ago (or must remember seeing a picture of herself sitting in) so she "lets" little brother sit in it sometimes, but she seems to get quite jealous if she doesn't get our permission first before he gets in it! Here's a picture of Miss PRISS sitting in THEIR bumbo chair (that she shares with little brother). It's way funny--can you see her pouty face?

Here's Hudson's first few pictures in the bumbo.

Roy's "Mini-Me"

Today I was just glancing through Roy's childhood photo album that his Mom kept for him and came across these "mini-me" pictures...I can't wait to keep this updated with more look-alike photos.

A few recent favorites

We've been really busy unpacking and trying to get the new house straight so I haven't been real good about keeping my blog updated! I just wanted to post a few recent pictures.

At least it's a pretty smily face! :o)

Pure entertainment

Last night, we went to see Uncle Bubba play basketball at Tucker HS. It was cool watching him play against the High School that Mom went to. Meme B. was there and she said it hadn't changed much since Eddie played there too--fun reminicing about his old basketball days. She remembered when he got his tooth knocked out on the court, and pointed out where they use to sit when they'd watch him play.

Christian did amazing. With his height, he makes it look easy dunking the ball. Everyone would go crazy, and of course, I'm a very proud big sister. Unfortunately, they lost by only 2 points, which made for a good game, but I wish the Patriots were the ones that were up by 2. Hudson sat up in his seat and was awake for most of the game...he watched and learned! Ansleigh loved it and especially loved watching the cheerleaders. She was copying everything they did.

Afterwards, we left Tucker and went back to Patrick Henry HS where Christian was the Patriot mascot for the Boys Varsity Basketball game. It was HILARIOUS! *Pictures to come.* He was jiving with the cheerleaders. It was awesome....Well, he does have someone to thank for his mad dance skills. The night before, Kenan and I pumped up Outkast (which Ansleigh seemed to LOVE!) and we were rockin' and rollin' up here. That night, a very special night, he learned Mr. Roboto, Napoleon Dynamite, The Lawnmower, The Chicken, Riding the Donkey, Running Man, The Sprinkler, The Moonwalk...you know, all the classics. It was flippin' sweet. I'm so proud of my little brother, the Patriot! It was pure entertainment. I wish I could watch him dress up in pantyhose and a big huge Patriot head everyday. The funniest part was hearing him talk about it afterwards. He said, "Oh my gosh--the crotch to those pantyhose stopped at my knees...it was so uncomfortable"...and "I was so afraid my head would fall off and everyone would know it was me" HAHA. He's such a goob. I love it!

Happy Valentine's Day to all--wishing lots of LOVE your way. I woke up to heart shaped pancakes this morning...I'm so lucky!

Hudson's 2 month well visit

Hudson is now 11 Lbs. 10 ounces...I was wondering why all of his 0-3 months clothes are fitting so snug! He's 23 inches long too, so looks like we'll be retiring some clothes :o( That makes me SO sad (especially since he has some of the cutest clothes EVER!) He's growing so fast. We went to visit Meme and Papa yesterday after that appointment and they hadn't seen Hudson in about a week. They couldn't believe how much he had grown in just a few days! Meme said she thinks his little arms and legs are filling out! I guess since I'm with him all the time, I don't notice it as much (except when his clothes are getting tighter!!) but they sure did!

He also got some shots and an oral, liquid shot for the Rotavirus. Ansleigh never had this...and I never knew that they even had liquid shots. Pretty sweet. He fussed for just a few seconds when she gave him the remander of the shots (it was 4 more, all seperate, and in different needles)--but Dr. Wright moves pretty fast, and it's suprising how quickly she can give 2 shots in one leg, 2 in the other, AND successfully get my guy to swallow the liquid shot. Very impressive.

He's still taking the medicine for the reflux but I told her that his breathing is still labored sometimes, even with the medicine. She's having us come back again in 2 weeks to get that checked out again. It's strange, but Dr. Wright seems to think that the breathing is related to the acid reflux. When the milk comes back up, the acid is causing his little passage ways to swell which in turn makes his breathing sound labored. We only notice the strange breathing sounds right after he's eaten or when he gets really upset (which is rare, and normally only when we're giving him the medicine for the reflux!! It does taste yucky!) Next well visit is in 2 months!

***I did take a bunch of pictures BUT not all the parts to my computer are hooked up yet so I can't upload them. I'll try to do that in the next day or so....

5th-Good Luck to my sweet, sweet Husband Roy who's starting a new job today!! xoxox I'm so proud of him!!

Okay--as for us...this past weekend (well, all this past week actually) has been quite hectic. We've been packing and moving, packing and moving, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, then more packing and moving. We'll have our CO (Certificate of Occupancy) by Tuesday (tomorrow!!!!). We got permission to move things up to the house from the inspector so almost everything has been moved (minus our bed and toiletries) and a few big ticket items in the basement. A HUGE thank you to our family for helping! Aunt Hilda, Aunt Gwen, Meme, Mom, Dad, Cody, helped a ton this weekend and we were able to get a lot moved, a lot cleaned, and a lot unpacked (and THANK YOU to Afton and Melissa for letting us use there Westview truck and trailor! HUGE help!) Aunt Hilda brought tons of food to keep us nutritionalized...yes, that is a word--complete with lots of McDonald's, a breakfast pizza from Ukrops, and brownies and cookies (just for Ansleigh). But don't worry, we all worked it off with the 500,000 trips we had to make up and down the stairs. Hopefully we'll get the rest moved up there this week and next weekend.

I was major nesting yesterday since I never got to do that this time around with Hudson. I was SO anxious to get his crib and nursery up (and running!). It was the FIRST thing I wanted to do! It's adorable and I'm anxious to pick out a color to paint his room...it'll be the NEXT thing I do (after everything else is unpacked...next year!)--hahahahaha, just kidding, but no, maybe I'm a little serious.

Things are all good here--sorry I haven't been keeping up as much as I'd like to. Hopefully once we get all moved in, I'll have a little more free time to work on my blogging! I'm excited about the inauguration tomorrow and keeping hopeful for our country and 2009!
